What Does Abdominal Pain On The Right Side Indicate?

I have bad pain in my right side when I sit for more than ten minutes. I Am on second course of antiobiotics in case its a kidney infection. Am getting scans of abdomen and kidneys and ureters in two days time. Pain goes away when I stand up or lie down. When I;m driving I get shooting pains going down my right side,
