General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Most common abnormality to occur at L5 - S1 could be Slipped Disc Syndrome or Degenerative disc disease.

I advice you to:
- Take snalgesics & muscle relaxant twice or thrice daily
- Also have antacid one table spoon along with each dose of above tablets
- Complete bed rest
- Hot fomentation to the back twice daily
- Avoid lifting heavy weights, bending or twisting your back & sitting for long time
- Lumbar corset should be used all the day
- physiotherapy

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
