What Does An X-ray Report Showing Predominantly Fibrotic PTB In The Right Upper Lobe And Fibronodular PTB In The Left Upper Lobe Indicate?
Hi. I had my medical examination for chest xray last year having this impression: predominantly fibrotic ptb in the right upper lobe and fibronodular ptb in the left upper lobe. What does it mean? I m too worried again because they somehow found the same result in my medical examinations about this ailment recently. Is it curable? What are the medical test need to do?
There might be lung scarring in the upper lobes of bilateral lungs and this feature is to be discussed keeping in mind any old tuberculosis you previously might have experienced.
You can get CT chest scan done to confirm findings. Lung scarring is not curable in most people and is a sign of old lung infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
