Hello. I had an ear infection a month and a half ago, and treated it with antibiotics. Today I am feeling congestion and some discomfort in my ear, and am wondering if I have another one! How can I tell if it is an ear infection or sinuses/allergies?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. If it is an ear infection some symptoms can be: -Earache -A sharp stabbing pain with immediate warm drainage from the ear canal. -A feeling of fullness in the ear. -Nausea. -Muffled hearing. -Ear drainage. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
