What is an enlarged vein in the brain? And are cancerous and non cancerous tumors hereditary mostly in women family members my mom and aunt passed away and my sister has a brain tumor that hasn t changed and my daughter has gilobastomy tumor and is in the hospital ?
There can be various reasons for an enlarged vein in the brain as
- high BP - an aneurysm - compression by surrounding structures as the blockage in venous sinuses, tumors or else.
There are only 5% of brain tumors which are hereditary, rest are not. Glioblastoma is not hereditary which your sister is having.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
