What Does An Episode Of Nausea And Fainting Indicate?

Two days ago I fainted at a theater. I became very hot and sweaty. Also tunnel bubble like feeling with nausea. My friend said my eyes rolled back in my head I was momentarily incoherent and I made grunting choking sounds. I was helped outside then my symptoms subsided but I was cool and very clammy sweaty. Felt weak for a while afterwards. A week prior I had an endoscopy performed and the anesthesiologist said I had a vagus reaction and my blood pressure dropped to 20-30 momentarily. He gave me a med to bring it up to normal. Any possible diagnosis?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a syncope. Other conditions like angina or TIA (transient ischemic attack) has to be ruled out. Consult a physician and get evaluated. An ECG is required to rule out cardiac causes even though it is unlikely. If symptoms persist better to go for an MRI scan to rule out TIA.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
