Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Blister on your leg could get infected if you do not keep the wound clean and dry till it heals.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Clean the wound twice daily with Povidine-Iodine solution.
2. After drying, apply Fusidic acid cream over the wound as a thin layer.
3. Take care to keep the wound clean till it heals.
Gradually, it should get better and heal completely.
If there is no improvement in the situation, you need to get the following investigations done to screen for diabetes, as delay in wound healing or infection of wound is common in diabetics.
1. Fasting glucose levels with overnight fasting of 8 to 10 hours.
2. Post-prandial glucose levels at 2 hours after breakfast.
3. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels.
Kindly consult Physician with the report for further evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.s.,
