Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a mole on my back not raised and roundish I have recently had a baby and a month before I was due to give birth I stared to get a dry very itchy patch around it since then the dry patch has become larger and very itchy.is this somthing to worry about?
I understand your concern. Considering your description, if the mole didn't increase in size, didn't change color and has clear round contours, in my opinion, the itchy and dry skin around your mole seems to be dermatitis (halo eczema).
This kind of mole with eczema around might be Meyerson naevus or a halo mole. They both may occur in healthy people, are not rare and don't have a specific cause. Eczema might heal itself, this may take some weeks. However, a dermatological examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis, and once in a year, you should get your moles checked by a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Suela Gjata,
