General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You may have impetigo but you would need to see your doctor for him or her to examine you and determine if this is the case.

If it is impetigo then you need a course of oral antibiotics, topical medication would not be enough. Impetigo is a bacterial infection of the skin, it is usually easily treated with oral antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
