What Does An Itchy Rash On The Lower Leg Indicate?
What could cause a red itchy rash on the lower legs and feet? It does not have pustules, blisters or any drainage. It is flat with some blotches where it itches the most, but also has individual, tiny red spots that do not itch. It extends to just above the knee but is mainly on both ankles and feet. It was first noticed about 24 hours ago. I have tried cortisone cream and Neosporin with pain reliever but neither helps the itching for very long. Thank you for any help on the cause and possible itching relief. Gloria

It might be a superficial fungal infection.
As the first line of management, you can apply topical antifungal like Clotrimazole for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
