What Does An Itchy Rash On The Wrist Indicate?

Today I have what looks like a rash, its red, and itchy. It s on my wrist area. I have been putting Cortizone-1o on it but it still itches. I seem to have and area on my other hand as well but not so bad. My wrist is swollen. I have been taking Tylenol3 for another issue but I have been taking that for almost 2 weeks and haven t had an issue I also am taking an anti-inflammatory for about the same time. Can I take anything else with it to stop the itching?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The rash is most likely due to allergic contact dermatitis. Apply cortisone cream. You can also take Cetirizine at bed time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
