What Does An Itchy Spot On The Left Arm Indicate?

A few days ago i noticed small spot on my left arm; like a tiny bug bite of sorts, bit itchy. then another one appeared close by and then another. first i thought it might be some bug, or spider in my bed, something kind of making its way/traveling in an area of my arm. but then one appeared on my other arm and same development, as if moving with a few more spots showing up. these are a bit itchy but not necessarily driving me crazy. i m starting to notice similar spots in my leg and around my belly button and one on my chest to right of my nipple. now i m worried its not a bug, but rather something else within my body. i have no other symptoms like fever, headache, upset stomach, etc. in fact i ve been exercising in my home gym. i have not changed the soaps i use. i m not aware of any significant food allergies, and i have not introduced any new or strange thing in my regular diet. i have also not traveled recently, but i intend to do so in a few days. so i m worried this might be the start of something more concerning or that it may need immediate care. the spots are not big or bulky and the areas are not really swollen (bit redish or darker pink). i m a male, white, 48yrs old, happily married, three kids, generally in good health and not taking any prescriptions other than a daily dose of vitam D. I live in NY and the weather has been averaging 35-40F. hope this description is of use to figure out what this could be, or at least rule out potential risks. if i recall well, i had chicken pox when i was little. thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per the detailed narration, this sounds relapse of the viral lesion as there is the past history of chicken pox.

It is recommended to consult a dermatologist for in-depth analysis and further care in that terms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
