hi i have a strange stain on the sole of my foot. it is a circle with 10mm diameter and orange/brown in colour. it looks like an iodine stain but i have not come into contact with that at all. it does not wash off. i also had a similar spot on my finger that disappeared in a week. the one on my foot has been for about 2 weeks and no change. what could it be?
Hi dear user. Good morning (here is 7:49 am) and thanks for using the service.
Macular lesions could be common in exposed skin. However if that one is in the sole of your foot and you haven't been exposed to sun, you should Pay attention to future changes, like color changes (turn to blue, or black), also pay attention to new symptoms like itching, pain, or bleeding in the area. In oder oder to be careful with malignant lesion, like melanoma (a kind of skin cancer).
Some macular lesions are no dangerous if those changes doesn't appear. Anyway I strongly recommend you to visit an especialist (dermatologist) to do a physical evaluation with an special lense to make differential diagnosis with this malignant lesions.
Have an excellent day Regards Dr. Nieves
