What Does An Ultrasound Showing Fluid Around Neck Of Fetus During Pregnancy Indicate?
had an ultrasound at 9 weeks and they told me there was an abnormal findings. The baby is growing great, heart rate was 184, two legs, two arms.. but there was some fluid around neck area to check for downs and abnormalities...have to go for further testing...Has anyone had experience with this and had good outcomes

Swelling around the neck of the foetus is common finding in down syndrome. If u r 40+ during pregnancy it is highly suspicious. It is advised to to triple test ie hCG , serum alpha fetoprotein and PAPP levels. It can detect down in 85% cases .
