What Does Biopsy Report Showing Non Spreading Nodes In Pancreas Mean?
This is JM, My father is recently(15 days back) had an operation of pancreatic mass(FNCA) which finally identified as Pancreatic Cancer via biopsy after post operation.
During the Operation the Doctor has cut out the pancreas part that containg the tumer situated in between the tail and body of the pancreas.
The biopsy report says that no node is spread in the remaining part of the pancreas that was cut out during the operation.
I just want to know the opinion about the future actions/follow ups need to be taken.
Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have pancreatic carcinoma. Non spreaing node means your cancer is not spread into the lymphnode. Its a good sign. Now you should take chemotherapy and radiotherapy according to type of pancreatic cancer. Go for follow up ct scan abdomen after completing treatment to know any residylual disease is there or not. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
