What Does Bleeding After Bowel Movement Indicate?
What would make me bleed for over a year when I have bowel movement. But the past 2 BM were 4 pink and bloody pieces of meat that appeared to look like 5 long fillets of pink salmon, and not any BM was there. Last night 3 more pieces of meat with blood again with small amount of diarea? I also have had tan string like stuff for a very long time in my regular bm but I don t think it s worms, because of no movement of these different sized tan pieces. I have lower abdominal pain. I have had a scope both ways last aug. found ulcers in esophagus but said bowl had 2 polis taken out. Non cancerous.

Bleeding after bowel movement may be indicative of anal fissure, hemorrhoids, polyps, gastroenteritis, IBD, etc. Other serious medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are angiodysplasia, ischemic colitis, upper GI bleed, cancer (colon, etc.). You can take sitz bath for relieve, applying ointment Pilex or Anusol be helpful.
Avoid taking spicy oily food and stay well hydrated for better bowel movement without hurt. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get required blood tests and investigations done so that you may be treated at the earliest. The treatment will be a combination of medicines and surgery (if required). Stay away from addictions if any.
