She did blood test in which the polymorph count shows 74% and tge doc said she had severe infection. Is it the case or there is something elseto be worried about? They said the platelet count is normal and rest evrything seems yo be fine . Also the Esnophyl range is low . Please suggest Thanks. Psg
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of blood in phlegm upon coughing which is mainly because of severe upper respiratory tract infection.
Need not to worry. You should take combination of Ibuprofen and Azithromycin. Do warm saline gargles. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Avoid oily and fried food.Take warm milk with a small amount of tumeric at bedside. You should not take carbonated beverages. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for blood tests to detect level of infection and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
