What Does Blood In Sputum Indicate?
Hi. I am 31 weeks pregnant. I noticed some fresh blood in my sputum when I woke up in the morning. There were also a few drops of fresh blood in my nostrils. I have heard that it is normal during pregnancy to bleed from the nose, but my concern is about the blood in the sputum. Please advise. Thanks

Blood in the sputum can be due to upper respiratory fresh bleeding. In pregnancy, bleeding gums is the common issues encountered and need to care dental hygiene more.
If it is just one time, then no need to bother much if it's persisting then need evaluation.
