Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband just went to the bathroom and for the second time that I am aware of has blood in his stool. but it was sprayed onto the back of the toilet bowl and I m guessing in the amount from what I seen maybe a quarter of a teaspoon. should I be concerned? his father had cancer starting from his liver that spread to the bladder and then to the lungs.
Cannot say. Certainly cancer can cause it by more than one way: you can have a cancer that rips something open and causes bleeding, but as you might already know, cancer in the liver can stop th liver from being able to make clotting factors and this can then set up for bleeding. Mostly it's hemorrhoids.
