Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 19 yo daughter is in the ER at UFlorida right now. I live in WI. She had red blood in her stool this morning and then also threw up a little red blood! She went to and OB/GYN a few weeks ago because she has been having really bad epigastric pain with her periods and based on symptoms was diagnosed with endometriosis. Wondering what could be going on with her?
It needs further evaluation exactly to say what is going on with her, but I can say that the most common cause of blood in stools and vomiting is ulcers. If it is related to endometriosis, it is rarely found endometriosis in the gastrointestinal system, and this may be one. A fibro gastroscopy is necessary to determine the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
