What Does Blood In Stool While Suffering From Bronchitis Indicate?

I have bronchitis and I cough so hard that I gag sometimes. And I cough a lot throughout the day. The heavy duty prescription cough medicine is not working well in subsiding my cough or its intensity. I also have been taking sugar free cough drops, which I believe have caused diarrhea as well. I just noticed blood in my stool. Could this be caused by intense and excessive coughing, combined with the diarrhea?

As per my opinion, chronic coughing due to COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) can lead formation or aggravation of hemorrhoids because of constant increases intra-abdominal pressure.

Do you have problem of constipation? Does blood coming is red or fresh or it is dark brown in color?

Fresh blood is suggestive of hemorrhoids and while dark brown color is suggestive of bleeding in stomach. Fresh red blood in stool with anal pain is suggestive of hemorrhoids. For that, consult a surgeon.
