What Does Bright Light In The Field Of Vision Indicate?
Hi, I often see patterns of quite bright light that stops me from working, generally around the edges of my vision, it can affect one or both eyes, and can last 30 mins or a day. It may be quite intense or just enough to annoy you. I am on Blood pressure tables. Have been to see optometrist and he said to stop bothering him. What should i do? It may only happen once a month or 3 times a week, totall random
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to migraine attacks or epilepsy seizures. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for physical exam and a brain MRI.
Further tests may be needed (EEG, thyroid hormone levels, Doppler ultrasound of the neck arteries). You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
