What Does Broncho-vascular Accentuation Mean?

No obvious active parenchymal lesion is seen in both lungs.Mild broncho-vascular accentuation is seen.Cardiac and aortic shodows appear normal.No evidence of pleural effusion is seen.Both domes of diaphragm appear normal.No obvious is seen. Pl.correlate clinically,With warm regards,

It means that the Vascular markings due to blood vessels running along with bronchus(wind pipes in lungs) are prominent. They can be an early sign of increased pressure in these vessels, caused due to diseases such as COPD, Pulmonary hypertension etc.
