I have a brown ring around my mouth and it just came up in November and I still have it. I know I don't have herpes or HIV cause I never had sex before and came in contact with anyone that had herpes. I think it came from one time on a cold night I was outside and licked my lips and around my lips and they got dry 2 minutes later and I kept doing it . I have tried lip balm but it doesn't take it away all the way. If your search up chapped lips on Wikipedia and see the first picture it a brown ring around the lips that what I have.
