What Does Brown Vaginal Discharge Indicate?

Hi I m almost 16 weeks pregnant and in my 15th week, I noticed brownish spots of discharge, I consulted my GP and he prescribed antibiotics, Levofloxacin to take for 5 days, and gave me stilpane for pain. I have finished the course of the antibiotic and I have not taken the stilpane as I was advised by my Gynea to only use Panado for pain. Is the antibiotic I took not harmful to my unborn baby? Please help!

Hello dear. Levofloxacine is in c category used which means use only if is absolutely necessary and benefits outweigh. Panado is paracetamol based which is well tolerable in pregnancy. Brown spot may come from infection in vagina or colum since you have this condition. Best regards.
