What Does Bulky Uterus On The Ultrasound Report Indicate?
I want for scanning today and result show uss show a bulky uterus. The myometrium is expanded with solid tissue masses with mixed eeho texture with the largest in interamural, submucous and subserous in the anterior, fundal, posterior walls andwith in the body of uterus. Both adnexea are normal.no. Cyst. No eyesis or retained production of. Conception. Can still be pregnant
Considering your pelvic ultrasound, I can deduce that your bulky uterus can be caused by fibroids, an abnormal growth of smooth muscle of the uterus. It is considered as a benign tumor which will not develop into a cancerous cell. The ability to conceive is rarely affected by the presence of fibroids, though fibroids tend to grow during pregnancy and can cause problems.
In most cases, women with fibroids can get pregnant naturally and treatment might not be necessary for conception. Anyway, I suggest to discuss with your local OBGYN about the risks that fibroids cause to pregnancy because women with fibroids are much more likely to miscarry during early pregnancy than women without them.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Elona Xhardo, Endocrinologist
