What Does Burning Pain In Armpit Radiating Under The Breast Suggest?
Hi. For the past few days I have had terrible pain on my left breast. The pain feels like it starts from my armpit area and travels under the breast. I was working out today and the pain was strong that I had to stop. Before it was dull and achy but now it burns. It just painful. I don t know if it s something to worry about.
If the pain is worse with activity particularly with certain movements then it is likely a muscle related pain. Using an anti inflammatory pain killer (eg ibuprofen, naproxen) and resting the area would help.
If the pain is not related to activity then it may be nerve related pain or neuralgia. This can be a burning pain. There are different possible causes and it may not be permanent.
It may be best to see your doctor for an assessment which would include physical examination to determine the likely cause.
I hope this helps
