General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Vaginal pain and itching following unprotected intercourse are concerning for possible sexually transmitted infection.

You will need to follow up with your primary provider to undergo vaginal swab microscopy and culture to confirm the diagnosis.

Initiating treatment with antibiotics, if needed is very important to avoid complications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
