What Does Burning Sensation In The Abdomen Indicate?

My wife has been suffering for months with abdominal burning and inflammation. Her dignosis from endoscopy and scans revealed stomach inflammation, a small hiatial hernia, and severe gallstones. She had her galbladder removed yesterday and was wondering how long before the gas and inflammation from the surgery subsides? She is unable to eat because of the constant abdominal burning and esphagul pain. I am concerned about her weight being low. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Maybe your wife is having micro ulcers in the stomach and duodenum which is giving her constant pain. Sulfur-coated syrups are best to give her. Ask her to use gastritis tablets every day. She should not sleep flat and always be in little head up position because she has GERD and reflux due to a hiatal hernia which might be causing her all this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
