What Does Burning Sensation In The Chest Indicate?
I have an upper respiratory infection , productive chest cough with white frothy sputum to thick green mucus. No temp or muscle aches but have a weird burning intermittent spot consistently in my left, chest n/ Breast area for over 24 hours . Should I ask my primary for a Chest X-ray?
hi sir/mam,your symptoms suggest even lower respiratory infection.burning sensation may be due to the infection or gastric irritation due to GERD.chronic cough is a risk factor for gastric reflux which in turn leads to heart burn.any how,it’s better to go for a chest x-ray.for my patients,I start antibiotics like augmenting 625mg thrice daily for 5 days along with an expectorant and bronchodilator syrup like ambroxol with salbutamol for my patients with similar symptoms in order to prevent complications.for gastric irritation, you can go for omez insta 1 sachet emptied into 1 glass of water and taken.you will get immediate relief of heart burn.also tab.pantoprazole once daily before food is recommended to prevent gastritis.but a thorough chest examination by a physician and necessary investigations would help you combat lung infection without complications and also reduces suffering.hope you understand my point.any further queries are welcome.i’m always ready to address your concerns.thank you.wish you a happy, healthy and peaceful new year 2018.take care.bye.
