Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My legs are burning and at times, sensitive to the touch. The discomfort is primarily focused on the fronts of my thighs, I am also experiencing burning in my feet. I do have type 2 diabetes and a congestive heart failure. I don t know where this discomfort is coming from or what to do about it ?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It could be diabetic neuropathy. Tingling, burning sensation or numbness, etcetera can happen. First, get your blood sugars checked and keep your sugars under control.
Get liver enzymes tested especially bilirubin can cause an itching sensation. If you are having rashes and redness in the area where you have burning then it could be allergic also.
If that is the case, antihistaminic would be better. So, kindly evaluate your history accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
