What Does Burning Sensation In The Thighs Indicate?

hi I have a burning sensation in my left outer thigh that has lasted about a month. labs normal, x-ray normal other than some arthritis. I slipped and my weight went on my left leg, I am 75 pounds overweight, i am 57 and i have fibromyalgia. i just looked up burning sensation of the thigh. maeralgia paresthetica?? I have been an RN for 30 years. am sure you know how nurses try to self dx. but my MD thinks I have PMR, I don t sorry and want me to travel 3 hours to se a specialist. what do u think?
