What Does Burning Sensation In The Throat Indicate?
I just had an odd occurence when i tried to eat dinner. I got a burning sensation in my throat and it felt like the food was stuck on the way to my stomach. I then proceeded to upheave the food and my swallowing actions were increased and the i kept spitting up phelm.
You have symptoms of burning sensation in the throat which seems to be due to infection of the upper respiratory tract. Need not to worry. I would suggest you start with warm saline gargles and betadine gargles 3-4 times a day. Avoid intake of heavy, sharp spicy meals especially at night times. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out other condition. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics penicillin or amoxicillin or antiviral drug depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestants and anti-inflammatory medications. Keep drinking plenty of water. For pain and swelling, you should take ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Avoid intake of cold beverages and cigarette smoking if any.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
