What Does Calyceal Dilatation On An Ultrasound Report Mean?
What is calyceal dilatation mean? I have kidney stone in my right kidney. After I took the medecine the my doctor advise me to have a follow up ultrasound and i was very happy with the result because no more stone but the problem is, they found out that i have a calyceal dilatation in my left kidney. Please help me about this problem. Is this a serious problem? I have symptoms which is my right side always got pain.

welcome to hcm...calcyeal Dilatation is due to back pressure changes it may be due to stone ..sometimes ultrasound fail to detect so i advise CT abdomen in such cases ..second option is IVP but it is outdated now .
