What Does Cause Cystic SOL And How To Cure It?

A cystic SOL (3.59 cm x 2.58 cm approx.) noted in my right Adnexa as per the report of the USG of my Lower Abdomen. Please suggest the causes of cystic SOL & how much it is dangerous to my health. Please also suggest the necessary steps to be followed for this.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A SOL is a space occupying lesion.
SOL can be any lesion - neoplastic or non-neoplastic which occupies space and displaces the normal structures.
The ultrasound has detected a SOL measuring app 4x3 cm in the right adnexa.
This cystic SOL could be a benign cyst or malignant cyst.
You need to get blood levels of CA-125.
This value is raised in ovarian cancers.
If the value is very high (i.e. in thousands) it is diagnostic of ovarian cancer.
A CT scan of the pelvis also needs to be done to look for distant metastasis.
If the lesion turns out to be benign surgical excision needs to be done.
