What Does Choking Sensation Upon Coughing Indicate?

Hi, I have a cough that started about 7 weeks ago. When I cough 3 times, I have a choking sensation. I do not smoke , never have. Play sports daily and have no problem. If I breathe deeply, I have to cough. The doctor had given me codeine cough medicine, worked okay, still coughed. Than he gave me a puffer. but I am still coughing, I have a tickle by me adams apple. anyt suggestions

You have problem of coughing from long time that may be because of upper respiratory infection or lung infection or lesion.

Complete blood cell count and microscopic
examination is help to rule out infection.

Sputum culture test helpful for further diagnosis.
Chest x ray help to know any lung lesion present or not..

Consult a pulmonologist for clinical examination and treatment plan.
