Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Based on the history you have shared, it needs to be evaluated for atypical pneumonia which can present with both of the gastric and respiratory symptoms involvement.
Blood and sputum cultures alongside chest X-ray should be sought, and antibiotics like Azithromycin or Moxifloxacin may be needed. Oral rehydration salts for the lost water and electrolytes should be taken.
Over-the-counter analgesics like acetaminophen can help with symptoms. Soft diets and steam inhalations may also be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
