What Does Chronic Lacunar Infarct In The Below Report Suggest?
Acute infarct is seen in the left gangliocapsular region and corona radiata.v Acute lacunar infarct is also seen in right lentiform nucleus. v Chronic lacunar infarcts are seen in right basal ganglia and bilateral thalami.v Hemosiderin blood products are seen in bilateral gangliocapsular regions and thalami.v Multiple T2 FLAIR hyperintense foci are seen in the subcortical, periventricular white matter of bilateral cerebral hemispheres,ganglio-capsular regions, thalami and pons indicating extensive small vessel ischemic disease.
as you mentioned about the the acute and chronic lacunar infact, it is a small clot in the brain which comes as the ageing of the brain. And this lacunar infarcts are not much to worry as depending upon the medicine available in your region the physician will prescribe one.
also until we know the clinical signs and symptoms this report will be not counted as a major.
incase if the patient has lack of coordination, muscle weakness, fatigue etc. this symptoms can be helped by performing regular exercises which are specific towards the symptoms.
Also breathing exercises and meditation helps alot in overall body conditioning.
regards
