What Does Clear Watery Vaginal Discharge Indicate?
I am 4 days behind on my period. Have clear watery discharge and every time I feel it coming down I think it's my period. My breast hurt and my legs do too ( from my thighs down). I am also cramping. I have OB apt on the 5th but just wanting an answer sooner. I am married and have unprotected sex. Any ideas?
I understand your concern. Your symptoms would be cervicitis (cervix irritation, dysplasia and infection) and bacterial or fungal infection. I generally give following investigations to rule out the causes:
- vaginal swab test and vaginal swab test, urine routine and microscopic examination, STD screening, PAP smear to rule out cervical dysplasia, USG scan and speculum examination to rule out the polyp.
Consult the gynecologist for following proper treatment. Specific treatment depend on cause. Keep your genitals dry and clean and maintain hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash, wash with warm salty water 2-3 times in a day, drink plenty of water. Take tablet Candid placed in vagina every night up to 6 days. You can take single dose of Azithromycin + Tinidazole + Fluconazole.
Hope this will help you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
