What Does Cloudy X-ray Of Lung Indicate?

Just had cloudy xray with only 2/ 3 of left lung black. Bottom left white and cloudy. Have copd and had staphylococcus pneumonia both lungs 10yrs ago.
Have had several case pneumonia since. Believe i have it now. DO cloudy x-rays indicate pneumonia possible?

Thanks for posting your query in HCM.
Cloudy or white shadows also called specifically as opacities are commonly caused by Pneumonia.It may be bacterial, viral, Mycoplasma, Pneumocystis.
If you dont have any symptoms as of now,it may be the opacities of the old pneumonia.So,no need to worry.

But if you have running temperature along with cough with cough and expectoration ,i would advice you to consult a pulmonologist and take appropriate antibiotics.

But these opacities may also be due to Atelectasis,desquamative interstitial pneumonitis (DIP) or alveolar proteinosis.
