What Does Cold Along With Chest Pain Indicate?

i started getting a cold 2 days ago, and everytime I take cold medicine, I start having bad chest pains that take my breath away. I ve been coughing alot and wheezing. My body feels so tired and everytime I stand or open my eyes, I feel like I m going to black out. should I be concerned?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Chest pains can occur as a result of persistent coughing but if you are an asthmatic then you need to rule out an acute asthmatic attack.

If you are asthmatic then you need to use your reliever inhaler. If the inhaler is not effective then you may need to seek treatment with your doctor.

Additional treatment for viral illness : rest, use of enough fluids, cough medication (if cough not due to asthma).
