What exactly is a complex ovarian cyst with thin septation. I was told in Aug I had a simple ovarian cyst measured 3cm that was found in an ultrasound because I complained to my GP of abdomen pain. I was experiencing still experiencing some abdominal pain and went in to see my gynecologist she told me that she would like for me to see and urinologist where he diagnosed me with chronic cystitis after a procedure and said the ultrasound he ordered shows a complex 8cm ovarian cyst with thin septation and to follow up with it. I don t see the Dr still for a few more weeks and I m just wondering what exactly does that mean I ve been experiencing more more discomfort some sharp pains and more weight gain. I am beginning to worry mainly because I don t have any true understanding of what this means. I had a hysterectomy at age 36, in 2006 and left my ovaries.I had not been back to a gynecologist since the hysterectomy until I went in Nov this year. My estrogen levels result are good. So I was told I m not in menopause.
