What Does Constant Pain In The Left Foot Indicate?
My wife has a constant pain in her left foot.this has been happening for about six months now.I have taken her to eight different Drs three of them were podiatrist. And nobody can diagnose the problem.she has had three xrays the revealed nothing but she cries daily.I don t know what else to do.I m asking a neurologist because in2010 she suffered from a brain bleed and surgery to remove an avm. I would like to know if the foot pain can be related .Thank you R.Himes
As per your presentation, the pain is constant and one sided. This type of pain (neuropathic pain) mostly occurs in case of any pressure or damage to the nerve supplying that area.
In sitting position the nerve will get more strained, hence pain increases. Her brain bleed and surgery might not be related to present complaints.
You can confirm by: 1. Nerve conduction tests 2. MRI left foot
If no other abnormality is seen you can follow the below treatment pattern: 1. Use Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs 2. You can also use pain killer sprays 3. Take vitamin tablets 4. Physiotherapy helps to some extent 5. Check for risk factors like diabetes
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
