2 years ago I had a cardiac arrest. Subsequently I had bypass surgery via the Cleveland Clinic. I also had asthma and COPD. Prior to the arrest, the mucus was persistent and thick. Since the operation that has gotten much better but I still use Breo Ellipta and Ventolin. The breathing has been relatively but over the last few days I have coughed up some phlegm in the morning that appears darker and more red than before. I am concerned with this, but don t feel like the cough is persistent.
