What Does Craving For Sugar After Partial Gastrectomy Indicate?
My husband is not diabetic but did have a partial gastrectomy and a mitral valve repair. He is experiencing sugar cravings. He is not overweight and exercises all the time. He is a very healthy looking 74 year old . On dilitazem. From what I can glean from on line sources he most likely has hypoglycemia. How dangerous is this?

it is much common to have sugar cravings after gastrectomy,commonly experienced after slleve gastrectomy.
advices are try to avoid artificial sweeteners that real sugar it is 300 x more than real sugar
try to take adequate bed rest when u are weak , body needs energy in the form of carbohydrate
drink plenty of water
