What Does Crystal Content In Benign Epididymal Cyst On Scrotum Indicate?

I was diagnosed several years back with an epididymal cyst on the scrotum, which was benign. Since then the cyst has increased in size tremendously, equivalent to the size of the testicle itself. I did get an ultrasound indicating that there are crystals in the cyst itself and was referred to a urologist. I am patiently awaiting for my appointment; however, would like your opinion on this matter, and what is meant by crystal content. Thank you so much.

Hi there ,

Thanks for your query.

Epididymal cyst contains protein, phosphate, glucose, triglyceride and cholesterol along with 99% of water content.

so any of the content can undergo aggregation and form crystals.

Surgical excision can cure the condition.
