What Does Deep Purple Colored Mark On My Skin Indicate?

I get deep purple colored markings under my skin with the slightest bumping or banging into something. Most of the time I don t even realize I ve injured myself. It seems to run in our family and when my dad passes away, both of his arms were solid purple! Any thoughts would be helpful. Also, they don t hurt.

Are you in any medication for blood thinning like aspirin? Do you suffer from excessive bleeding from wounded areas after any injury ? Or bleeding from gums/ joint swelling? What you are getting is called purpura.. however, a detailed lab investigations need to be done to find cause of it.I suggest you visit a hematologist or maybe just a physician for investigations.
