What Does Degenerative Retrolisthesis In Report Suggest?

How bad is this? FINDINGS: AP and lateral views of the lumbar spine were obtained. Vertebral body height and alignment are stable. There is minimal grade 1 degenerative retrolisthesis of L2 on L3 and L1 on L2 and due to disc disease. There is disc space narrowing at multiple levels with osteophyte formation, most prominent at L1-2. Mild multilevel facet arthrosis is identified. There is mild rightward long segment curvature of the lumbar spine.

Hello

Report suggests mild degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine.

1.There is degenerative retrolisthesis(means posterior movement of spine) of L2 on L3 and L1 on L2 vertebra.It is due to degenerative disc disease.

2.There is narrowing of intervertebral disc at multiple levels.

3.There are also osteophytes formation at corners of vertebra,more prominent at L1-2 level.Osteophytes are formed due to chronic stress on annulus fibrosis.

4.There are also mild multilevel facet arthrosis(arthritis at bony joints in between two vertebra).

Majority of the cases of early degenerative spine disease are managed by physiotherapy,analgesics and muscle relaxants.You should consult your doctor.
