What Does Diagnosis Of Low Hormonal Level During Pregnancy Suggest?
my 29 y old sis is 5n half weeks pregnant. upon her first doc visit he put her in hospital due to high sugar readings. she has been diebetic since age 11. today the doc said her hormone level were low.when blood work came back the hormone level was 7000 the next day it was 9000. he said he will do another tomorrow n if it wasn t atleast 14000 that it was not a good pregnancy. we seen the little peanut on vaginal ultrasound, can she be given the hormone injection r vaginal suposatory r cream? what should we do?
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone produced by placenta once an embryo implants in the uterus. This hormone makes the body to continue to produce progesterone, which prevents menstruation from occurring. This protects the endometrial uterine lining and maintains pregnancy.
A pregnancy test can detect hCG in your urine if your levels are high enough it means you are pregnant.
Low levels of the hormone may occur in miscarriage, blighted ovum, ectopic pregnancy or when the gestational age is wrongly calculated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
