Hi,
NOted the report of your HSG that is
hysterosalpingography report showing no left tube that can be visualized and the distal end of right
Fallopian tube is dilated.
The results are very obvious.
Hysterosalpingography is done injecting a dye in the uterus to see whether there is spillage of dye into the
peritoneal cavity. IF the spillage is positive and there is no structural defect then one important reason for sterility is ruled out.
SInce your left Fallopian tube is not visualized means there is blockage.
Right Fallopian tube ids dilated means there is block at the distal opening to the side of peritoneal cavity and indicates blockage.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Gynecologist for Diagnostic Laparoscopy and needed procedure, also to find any specific disease like
tuberculosis or so.
Specific medical or
surgical treatment can be of help in such cases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
